2002 GMC Safari - SLE RWD Passenger

Pros: The dutch doors on the back

Cons: The radio for the price of the van except better .

Advice: The van is great can drive 1200 kms in a day and still be comfortable .

I am on the second van as we have several children to move around so we have matching dark green AWD SLT . When they are fully loaded they can be a bit under powered , we live in the mountains area . I like the look of the van it's tall enough to find in the parking lot can carry lots of sports gear and the kids friends. I would have liked a better radio in the van the radio from the yukon would have been nice but the kids play there own music or watch movies on the lap top when we travel so it's just dad and his old music. It's a shame they will not make the van after 2005 all the other vans are just to small. When you do the shopping you can but all the bags of grocery's behind the third row sheet . Can't do that with any other van and still put seven people in side.On on of the vans we will be putting on a supercharger and updated exhaust system to give a increase in HP/BHP for towing .

2002 GMC Safari - SLE RWD Passenger

Pros: Roomy, comfortable, powerfull, good view of the road

Cons: Well, it's not that pretty. Definitely get the alloy wheels and side steps.

Advice: When trailering, use brakes on the trailers to minimize impact of the truck's brake. This is a safety issue.

Needed to haul a trailer, camping gear, 4 teens and my beloved wife. My old Caravan was a nice CAR but was short of delivering trailering capabilities and real seating for real teens. The Safari gives you all this. It's perfectly balanced for big families. It's a truck and a bit low tech which equal tough and durable. The ride is comfortable and yes, you can race those GTI for the next red light. I have 2 wheel drive which is fine 99 percent of the time. The other percent, it's better to stay home anyway.
