Pros: Ride and Stlying. My Envoy SLT list for 36,000 - 3,000 cash back
Cons: Well, gas milage, but hey, it churns out 275HP
Advice: Just Drive it, you'll be a believerSilky smooth inline 6 that cranks out 275 HP and the engine is tuned to run on regular gas (87 octane!) Excellant ride and handling for a 'Truck' The Bose Stereo is worth the money, as is the side-impact airbags. Onstar, a nice secure plus. Just the right size SUV, easy parking and great Syling inside and out. I drove the Benz M320 (overated) the Envoy is a better buy and more hp! Don't complain about the gastank, it holds 22.5 gallons!
Pros: I have covered it.
Advice: Buy it!My boyfriend and I were debating between the V6 4X4 Envoy XL SLT or the V6 4X4 Trailblazer EXT LT. Since we did not need the leather seats and other features standard in the Envoy XL that are optional for the Trailblazer EXT LT, we went with the second. However, both have plenty of seating and cargo room. Both get 15 m.p.g. in the city and 21 on the highway if using plus unleaded gas. Both have plenty of h.p. and torque. I would highly reccomend both.
Pros: Air ride
Advice: Expect only about 14 mpg city and 20 hwy. You will love it anyway.I have owned a Ford Exp.and 2 Jeep Grand Ch. and my wife drives a Mercedes S430. I looked at and test drove the Mercedes SUV then I drove the Envoy. I purchased the Envoy and could not be happier.
Pros: Plenty of power with the standard V6, cargo and seating room, excellent towing capacity, good on M.P.G., great traction.
Cons: Only comes with leather seats. Costs more than the Trailblazer EXT LT.
Advice: I highly recommend this as long as one does not mind standard leather seats. My girlfriend and I checked and test-drove this when choosing to go with a GM SUV in this size. We were still debating between this and the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT LT. It was with the 275-h.p. SEFI 24-valve DOHC Vortec 4200 V6. This one can tow a slightly heavier load. But it only came with standard leather seats which contributed to its higher price tag. So, we got the Trailblazer EXT LT with cloth seats. It is a matter of taste. But other than that, I highly recommend this. Its standard V6 has more power than other competitors' V8's they use in theirs in this category. And this has better cargo and seating room than the competitors'. I can not say enough positive things about this SUV!
Pros: The smooth ride
Cons: Drivers leg room a little snug
Advice: Great all around vehicleTest drove the mitsubishi montero sport.Than the next weekend tried the envoy xl and fell in love. The ride is unbelievable for a SUV,tons of room and lots of nice standard features(especially the dual climate control),Good looks and powerful engine.I purchased that envoy the same day.
Pros: The ride is very smooth.
Cons: The front console is rather small, and cramped
Advice: If you don't require a large console - nothing else will dissatisfy you.I test drove the Dodge Durango, Ford Expedition and the Jeep against the GMC Envoy. Envoy won hands down. I knew when I drove it - I had to have it, and I got it!
Pros: ride and space
Cons: no option for 3rd row seat auto folding
Advice: drive it and you'll love itI have an 11 year old explorw I bought new; So naturally I had to look at the 2003 explorer, but the envoy is hands down a better vehicle. I like the ride and handling much better!
