Pros: The great look with the offroad package.Get the dual exhaust!
Cons: Not a bad thing about it.
Advice: Get the offroad 4wd. You will not be disapointedThis is a great truck. I got the inline 5 4wd offroad package with leather. I even put dual exhaust straight out the back with flowmaster, and you gotta hear what this truck sounds like. I highly recommend it over any other trucks. Why buy an import when you could have a nice american truck that is pure bad ass!!
Pros: the styling
Cons: no ash tray.
Advice: if you are looking for a good value for the money this is it.Overall I like the canyon very much. It performs beautifully in everyday driving. The 3.5 liter has more than enough power and I like the styling. I have to question some of the workmanship though. I don`t like the way the roof seems to be comprised of three pieces and the bottom of the bed has some unsightly welds and sheet metal tabs. I can live with it but my 93 sonoma was buttoned up better. I also don`t like the way GM drills holes in the fender lips wether you have the trim pieces that belong there or not. I`m not sure but i think that trim comes with the optional mudflaps. Sigh. I guess its back to the dealer and buy the mudflaps.
Pros: The looks
Cons: Interior seems spartan
Advice: ZQ8 suspension is a must for everday drivingJust purchased the 2006 Canyon Crew Cab with the newly-optional ZQ8 suspension. This option includes 17 inch aluminum wheels, P235 x 17 Continental tires, rear sway bar, higher pressure gas shocks, polyeurethane body mount bushings, and quicker ratio steering. Truck rides firm, and steering response is excellent. No squeaks or wind noise, and seats are firm and comfortable. Engine noise is minimal at cruising speeds.
