NICE 03 ZX-3
Cons: Could use a little more powerBought it new, very dependable car. I have always liked it.Good build quality. Very comfortable, handles great. Quiet on the highway. Not overly powerful car but gas mileage is 32 mpg on the hwy. Mine is a 5-Speed and has a nice, tight shifter. Possibly the best car I ever owned.
Pros: The ride of a car with the practical features of a SUV.
Cons: Gas milageThis is the first U.S. made car I've owned in 30 years. What a pleasent surprise.
Happy Flex owner- I love this car and the features
Pros: The Sync system, no gas cap needed and hearing cell calls over my speakers!!
Cons: No where to put my purse when I have a passenger. Wish back cargo window opened to quickly put in small items. Would have preferred 7 passenger instead of the 6 passenger. Obviously nothing major that I don't like about this car!I've had my Flex for just over a year after owning 3 Expeditions. Love the size and modern features, memory seats, steering wheel controls, roomy feel, better gas mileage, etc. It has more headroom than the Expedition. We opted for 6 captains chairs and I do miss the bench in the middle when I have a carload of kids. It's like driving a luxury car, but easier to maneuver than a bulky utility vehicle and saves on gas.
Pros: System integration
Cons: AcclerationBest new vehicle I have ever bought.
Does everything I need it to do.
Pros: Flexibility to convert from people carrier to cargo carrier.
Cons: Rear window on lift gate does not open.Excellent overall car and utility vehicle.
'03 Ford Taurus SES
Cons: Door locks do not open when you stop and put car in parkBest car I ever owned. Has a comfortable ride and is great on gas. Runs like a top. Bought it in '04 with 18K miles for $10,400 - less than half of the original MSRP. At this point, my total cost of ownership is way less than a comparable Honda, Toyota, VW, etc. Car has 84K miles and all I've had to do is regular maintenance. Had to change the starter last fall and I also decided to put in a new battery as a preventative measure before the winter.
Pros: Comfortable ergonomic interior.
Cons: Big blind spots when backing upIn just over a year this thing has 'been everywhere and done everything'! A daily driver that has also seen off-road use, towed a small trailer, hauled camping gear, and carried a canoe as well as the whole family on longer road trips. Can't find anything not to love. Sync system is a BIG plus. Ride is awesome for an SUV/truck. 20,000 miles and not so much as a hiccup! Average 24 mpg overall.
