Great. Carawesome car
Pros: cd player
Cons: no sunroof
I loved this car. Sad to see it go. I will miss it a lot. It was around for a long time and still ran very good for me.'03 Ford Taurus SES
Pros: Reliability
Cons: Door locks do not open when you stop and put car in park
Best car I ever owned. Has a comfortable ride and is great on gas. Runs like a top. Bought it in '04 with 18K miles for $10,400 - less than half of the original MSRP. At this point, my total cost of ownership is way less than a comparable Honda, Toyota, VW, etc. Car has 84K miles and all I've had to do is regular maintenance. Had to change the starter last fall and I also decided to put in a new battery as a preventative measure before the winter.Pros: 24 Valve V6
Cons: No Fog Lights/. No In-Dash 6 CD Changer
Advice: Go for the 24V V6 Sport Package
I love this vehicle!! I bought the Patriot Blue SES with the Sport Package. I drive 45 miles to work everyday, and I like the smooth ride. It has awesome power when passing. If you are looking for a midsize sedan with excellent comfort a powerful 24v V6 and a good looking car, you can't go wrong with the Taurus.Pros: 200hp Duratec engine
Cons: No in dash CD player when combined with a CD changer
Advice: Skip the 6 passenger option
The wagon has more room than SUVs in the same price range, 38 cubic inches with rear seat up and 81 cubic inches with rear seat folded. The 200 hp Duratec DOHC V6 is a must. Go for the safety package which adds traction control and front side airbags. Avoid the 6 passenger seating option since it add little or no value. The part I dislike about the car is that you can't get an indash CD player and CD changer. The Duratec package adds the CD changer and a in dash tape player. Overall this is a wonderful car. Beware of the critics who constantly complain about the Tauruses resale value. If you get a good price upfront there's nothing to worry about.
