Over the past 10 months I have driven a 2010 Ford Fusion with the 4 cyl engine. At 8,000 miles the transmission started slipping and shifting poorly; Ford reprogrammed the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). At 10,000 miles, Ford checked the computer and told me it was running fine. When the transmission would not shift into 2nd or 3rd regularly, shutter, and slam into gear at 12,000 miles, Ford replaced the transmission. However, the mechanic told me that the car's computer still 'thought' the car was operating properly. An Internet search resulted in others with the same problem. The new transmission is working fine. Sometimes when I try to start the car, the engine just turns over continuously without starting. Ford needs to fire the computer programmers & designers. The AC vents don't angle upwards enough. Otherwise, the car handles nicely and is relatively comfortable for its small size.- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? No

2010 Ford Fusion - SEL FWD
Pros: comfort and pick up in new engine
Cons: would like the blindspot alert lights to be standard
Advice: great buy
Test drove the Fusion. The 2010 upgrades are awesome. The pick up in engine is great now. Driving is fun and very comfortable. The sync is nice but lots to learn for a not so gadget swavey driver. The hands free phone is great Comfort is great. -

Pros: Looks, features, comfort,
Cons: The SYNC is not as 'cool' as I thought. When giving an address to drive to, it never can understand what you say. After dozens of attempts, I pull out the trusty Tom Tom!

I have had my 2010 Fusion SE for 4 months now. I am overall very pleased with the car. I wonder somewhat about the gas mileage. Advertised 34mpg hiway, I am getting 24.8. I'm counting on improvement over time. -

Pros: Interior is user friendly and comfort along with Large trunk space. Standard features outweigh last 2 vehicles (Chrysler ) by far.
Cons: Rear visiblility when parking.
Advice: test drive and see for yourself
Ford got it RIGHT on this one. Plenty of comfort,pep,quality and very good gas mileage. On my first trip got 30.2 mpg.
