2013 Ford Fusion Energi Earns Five-Star Rating From NHTSA

If you’re looking for the safest model in the Fusion lineup, you should look at the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi which was just awarded the “five-star” Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Fusion Energi got five stars in the front barrier crash test thanks thanks to head and knee airbags for both front seats. In the side impact tests, the Fusion Energi scored better than the standard Fusion (five stars vs. four). Finally, the Fusion Energi got four stars in the rollover tests.

“The Fusion Energi combines the highest possible safety ratings from NHTSA and great fuel economy, two things we know customers are looking for in their vehicles,” said Steve Kenner, Global Director of the Ford Automotive Safety Office.
