Its a supercab FX4, 4x4--Not a mins. trouble
Pros: automatic on the floor
Cons: Black enterior UGH, so hard to keep clean!
I have owned this F150 since new. Its been a great truck, Its dark blue and beautiful, it has dual exhaust(I added) and it sounds awsome, and has a lot of power. It would probably get around 20mpg, if I would lighten up my lead foot, as it is I get between 16 and 18 and thats with a 5.4. I have a 1997 w/220,000, they have both been geat trucks. The 05, has not been back to the dealer except for oil changes. I really like it and would buy another one.Pros: the ride very nice
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: dont need to shop around the f150 is the truck
the ride is accellerating, handling is very responsive. the best truck i have every owned. the interior is very quiet tryed the titan and tundra . they dont even compare not even in the same class as the f150. the titan seem sluggish and cramped. in the tundra i felt like i was in a concert with the road noise was pitifull very poor attemped at a truckPros: Size / Safety / The basic modern truck face. Fresh, but familiar to the Liniage.
Cons: Fuel economy with 4:10 Gearing and HD Packaging is 10 City, but a whopping 18 on the Highway! Better then old Dakota on Highway Milage.
Advice: Drive every other Full Size 1/2 Ton. You will so much more apriciate the effort Ford put into this incredible vehicle.
Haggled for a Week to get Biggest, Baddest F.150 Ford Makes. Can haul 9200 pounds no sweat. / Last week loaded up bed with 3000+ Pounds of Sand for the yard, she hauled 55+ on freeway no problem! / More comftorble then the Caravan, quieter and smoother. / Basic XL with added Cruise and CD, gave up a Cheeper XLT Short Bed Supercab for this Heavy Duty Hauler. / Also drove a 2003 Tundra, to small inside the Access Cab for 3 people. This truck is the Benchmark for the segment bar-none.Pros: agressive styling,Room
Cons: Average acceleration
Advice: Ford has so many choices. Know what you want before you go so you dont buy what you dont need.
I have always dreamed of owning a really nice pickup and with the employee discount I finally traded in the 99 Cherokee for it. I am very tall (6'10') and need alot of room. This truck has plenty of room for me, my wife and three kids. The inside has an excellent design with all of the controlls within reach. The seats are very comfortable and The cab gives me tons of room to stretch out. The exterior has a very agressive look that I like and it is to big for my wife to drive (yesssss!!!!). My only complaint is the average acceleration from the 4.6 v8. I looked at the Chevy, Dodge and Nissan. I made the right choice. I love my new F-150.Pros: everything
Cons: the price
Advice: find a sales person and start with a ranger tell them you like the price but want a bigger truck they will meet you i the middle I paid 16,000 sticker was 23,200
my 2005 truck drives great. rides like a car drive it before you buy a truck i drove dodge chevy. ford had them all beat.Pros: Not sure yet , I only have had the truck for one day
Cons: The seats
Advice: Deal in Davis , they treat you right
Well my old 2000 F-150 truck had seats that made you feel great , but the seats in the new pickup is hard and not as good . But the rest of the truck is super nice ....
