February Auto Sales: Subaru Keeps Setting Records

Forester Posts A 95 Percent Increase In Monthly Sales

Subaru appears to be continuing their trend of setting new sales records every month. In the case of February, Subaru broke their previous record by 24 percent with sales totaling 34,909 vehicles. Sales for the year stand at 67,909 vehicles.

“Our sales momentum continues and we are launching new models at record pace. We have a lot to look forward to in 2014,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and COO of Subaru of America.

The Forester crossover put on a strong performance with 10,773 units sold for the month, an increase of 95 percent. Following close behind was the Outback with 8,967 units, down 0.5 percent. Another big performer was the XV Crosstrek, which posted a 68.5 percent increase in sales for the month.
