Pros: Just about everything
Cons: The color. I purchased the Deep Sapphire Blue and it is a much darker color than expected. But it is still beautiful.
Advice: Try it - You'll like it!!!I have owned a 1996 Dodge Stratus for the last 7 years and am very please with the improvements made over the years. I love the Stratus and would recommend it to other drivers.
Pros: Body Style
Cons: The 2.4 Liter 4 cylinder not so fuel efficient motor.
Advice: Bump up to the R/T modelNot too bad, but you could tell it was the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine. I currently own a 2003 Stratus Sedan, the SE model with the same engine, and I was dissappointed with the fact the SXT had the same engine in it. The styliing, lines, and options are good, but it needs a better power plant in my opinion. If you are looking for a sporty, and decently agile coupe, spend a couple more thousand and get the R/T. Now that is a winner in my book!
Cons: Bumpy ride and poor instrument lighting
Advice: Try other vehicles before deciding on this one...should have bought the Chrysler SebringHave always driven sporty cars and the Stratus R/T had the looks I wanted. Got it in the 5 speed manual version which is fun to drive. Should have tried other cars before buying this one. The sport-tuned suspension gives a very stiff, bumpy ride. The lights on the instrument cluster are difficult to read at night, not very large and are not back-lit. Has a very large turning radius making it difficult to swing into my garage without backing up first. The interior gives you a feeling of being cramped. Seating for three in the back seat but only two can fit comfortably. Have owned the car 9 months and am planning to trade it in this summer on a car with softer road ride and more maneuverability. If you like stiff-riding cars and can take the bumps, by all means buy it.
Pros: engine and body style
Cons: no spoiler
Advice: it is a great car for a great priceGreat test drive, good hanling and braking. No complaints!!
Pros: V6 engine and stability
Cons: Nothing yet
Advice: Make sure you get the new Stratus SXT with the V6 engine.I recently had problems with a 2004 Stratus SXT purchased in May of 2003. This vehicle had the Mitsubishi 4cyl engine and transmission. I developed leaks in the transfer case seal and other issues. The dealer was very accomodating and treaded me into a redesigned 2004 SXT that was assembled in Feb. 2004. The new Stratus SXT has the 6cyl engine and transmission made in the U.S. Power seat, Sun Roof and sports suspension. What a tremendous difference in the performance of the vehicle. I am averaging 23mpg in the city and have not had a test with highway driving yet. The interior seems a little smaller, but the overall feel of the car is much better. We actually feel safer in this Stratus the previous ones. I woul not be afraid to recommend the new Stratus SXT.
Pros: looks, power
Advice: Buy it!this is an awesome car, really cute I like red myself. Definatly a buy if you love sporty cars.
Pros: its low to the ground
Advice: buy it the price is right.it feels like a sport car and is good on gas.
