This truck is awesome. It has raised the bar for any other manufacturer. You will fall in love the minute you test drive it and the wife will love the amount of room it has. There is so much storage space inside the cabin that You will find yourself looking for stuff to store in your truck. It is without question the most awesome vehicle I have ever been in.Pros: The Drive Train
Cons: Wheel Lug Nut Covers
Advice: Get The 305 hp Turbo Diesel
I test drove all the major brands and models, I bought the Dodge Heavy Duty 2500 Laramie Turbo Diesel, and I'am getting 22.5 avg hiway mpg and power to spare. You can have your Hemi I'll take the Turbo Diesel.Pros: The Hemi 5.7L Motor
Cons: The hassel purchasing the truck
Advice: If you live in Minnesota do not let the car dealer do the application for the loan if you want the life insurance, dealers are not allowed to offer the life insurance to the customers, and you will have to refinance to have it added later.
I just purchased my 2nd Dodge Ram, 1st was a 1996 Ram 1500 SLT 4x4, this one is a 2004 Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4. I love the appearance, the quanity of room in the cab of the truck, the performance from the Hemi engine, and the ride is excellent. I could not be happier.Pros: Cummins turbo diesel
Cons: price
Advice: Do your homework and know what price you should pay.
I just bought my Ram 2500 with the new Cummins HO engine. This engine rocks. Has plenty of power and for a diesel is very quiet. My CR-V has more noise in the cabin than this truck. The interior is much nicer than the trucks of old. In fact, the interior is nicer than my 2002 CR-V. Handling is very good. The truck drives like a much smaller vehicle. Buy one, you won't regret it.Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Fuel Economy
Advice: Best truck I've ever owned
The Hemi provides plenty of power for normal driving and towing although it's fuel economy is less than expected. The cabin provides all the creature comforts for long drives and the rear seats are very spacious for the kids. The ride is typical for a 2500 heavy duty, a little choppy, although handling is very good.
