Great car
Sister-in-law bought one and she loves it. Great on gas and just the right size.Great buy!!
Pros: The chrome 20's
Cons: Havent found anything yet
I've bought many vehicles and for the money this has been the best purchase I've made. The ride is great and the looks cant be beat!the inside
Pros: how many seats it got
Cons: least space
2010 nitroPros: The color (inferno red pearl coat) and the style of the exterior
Cons: The interior materials and quality
Advice: Look at all your options and decide what kind of suv your looking for.
the 2010 nitro should not be confused with non truck like suv's.the ride and handeling of this suv is firm and can transmit jolts to its occupants when the pavement is any thing less than smooth.Though the front seats are comfortable and the dash layout and controls are easy to reach and use,the interior plastic should be brought to par with its competetors. I don't think the dodge boys were trying to make a posh suv but one that was rugged and had truck like ability and tough looks. The 3.7l motor works fine but could use a five speed trans and 3.55 gears instead of the 3.73 that came standard in my vehicle that is a 4x4. this would help the mpg's. Overall I like this suv and if properly maintained it should last a long time. This is a utility/truck suv that has a true off road feel to it with up right seating without to much posh. So if all out comfort is what you are looking for this may not be your cup of joe. but if rugged good looks solid practicality and true 4 wheel drive ability are. Then you might just want to look at the dodge nitro 4x4 or 4x2 models.Pros: Design
Cons: Fuel consumption
Advice: Buy it if you would like to be out of the crowd.
Freinds please tell the honest fuel consumption. I can't believe in 16 mpg in city for 4.0 L engine. Please tell honest experience. Thanks.Pros: looks
Cons: trans does shift smooth, but downshifting on an incline has a little hesitation
Advice: buy the R/T
Outstanding, I love this SUV. Great looks, good quality and good performance.Pros: Remote start
Cons: Front seats are limited to movement.
Advice: Wait until Dodge works out all the kinks. I personally have not had major problems with mine, but I have heard of soo many people who have.
The Nitro drives great, and has great back seat space. Perfect for a small family. I have not had any mechanical problems with my Nitro but there have been a few little problems. Both of the front seat headrests have the entertainment systems in them, I’m not sure if they were damaged while they were putting them in, but I could always hear a 'rattling' noise while driving. It was in for repair 5 times before they just gave up and ordered a complete new system. And the other problem that I've had has been with the head rails on top of the vehicle. They kept coming loose and finally cracked. The dealership was happy to replace them but it is a pain having to take it in every couple of weeks. Overall I love my NITRO!! I have thought about looking into another vehicle only because I have heard about all the flaws the Nitro’s have but have decided that I love this car too much to trade it in.
