2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Walkaround Video Review

There’s so much going on with the 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat that it’s best to go straight to the source, so Autobytel jumped at the chance to talk to Russ Ruedisueli, from Dodge’s SRT Motorsports Engineering team. Though a lot of the Challenger Hellcat’s performance features are obvious on first sight, there’s plenty going on underneath the Hellcat’s skin, too. The exterior is exclusive, with a wider front splitter and a taller rear spoiler. These aerodynamic touches mark this special model and also improve airflow around the car. The 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat is powered by a 707 supercharged HEMI engine that doesn’t have an electronic speed limiter, so the driver can run the Hellcat to the top of its potential, a top speed of 199 MPH. The supercharger is fed by carefully designed and managed airflow to help maximize its power. A specially designed hollowed-out headlight serves as a cool air inlet, and hot air escapes through the extractors in the unique hood. A special radiator design also helps with the heat management. The Challenger Hellcat stays planted on 9.5-inch wide wheels with upgraded tires, and the stopping power underneath comes from Brembo’s 6-piston calipers and 15.4-inch rotors. The Hellcat also has a new, driver-focused interior.
