Drawing its cues from a classic, the brand-new 2015 Dodge Challenger T/A Concept will be among the many Chrysler Group products prepped for SEMA by its Mopar service, parts and customer-care brand. The event itself is the largest aftermarket-only auto show in the world and is scheduled to open November 4 in Las Vegas.
As for the 2015 Dodge Challenger T/A Concept, it was designed to show that "the big gun in the Dodge brand's muscle-car arsenal hasn't forgotten its roots." And in this case, said roots stretch all the way back to the 1970 Challenger T/A driven by motorsports legend Sam Posey during the Golden Age of U.S. road racing. The result is a retro-style exterior combining a "Sublime Green" finish with matte-black T/A striping on the sides, a matching matte-black hood (with functional scoop), matte-black 20-inch aluminum wheels and similarly shaded aero pieces, including a rear deck-lid spoiler and front splitter. Even the rear and side exhaust tips get a black, ceramic-coated finish.
