What is the first thing to come to mind when I say muscle car? Most likely it's either the Chevrolet Camaro or Ford Mustang. But there is one that doesn’t always gets its time in the spotlight. That is the Dodge Challenger which is the quintessential muscle car of this era.

Now the one we have here is a bit special. This is the Challenger SRT8 392 which is the big dog in the Challenger lineup. Under the hood is a 392 HEMI V8 with 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed Tremec manual transmission. Fuel economy stands at 14 City/23 Highway/17 combined. Under the muscular body, SRT added an Adaptive Damping Suspension system which varies the handling and ride to whether you’re driving on your favorite back road or on the town. There is also a set of Brembo brakes to help bring this big muscle car to a stop.

The Challenger SRT8 392 begins at $46,870. The competition for the Challenger SRT8 392 include the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
