Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Advice: If style and handling are more important than reliability, get oneThe car is beautiful and handles very well. Comfort was below average until Goodyear tires were replaced with Michelin..at our expense. With the new tires road noise dropped dramatically and comfort improved to C+. Unscheduled service in 40,000 miles has been TWICE that needed by our Cadillac with 110,000 miles and SEVEN times our Nissan with 242,000 miles. The Nissan gave up the ghost...after being hit by a Mack truck.
Pros: COMPLETLY REFINED
Cons: STEERING IS TWITCHY

THESE CARS ARE BULLET PROOF.I ALSO HAVE A 99 VIPER GTS,(BEAUTIFULLY STRONG AND RELIABLE).THE 2003 SRT IS TOTALLY IMPROVED,FRONT TO REAR TOP TO BOTTOM.I HAVE DRIVEN LATE MODEL MERCEDES AND BMW CONVERTIBLES AND THE TOP ON THE NEW VIPER IS AS QUIET,TIGHT AND WELL DESIGNED.I KNOW I WON'T SELL MY 99 GTS,AND I DID NOT KNOW IF I WOULD KEEP THIS 03 VIPER BEFORE I DROVE IT,BUT 12 HOURS OF OWNERSHIP AND IT'S NOT LEAVEING MY SIGHT UNTILL AT LEAST THE 05 COUPE COMES OUT-MAYBE!!! P.S.THINGS IMPROVED BRAKES/THROTTLE RESPONSE/RIDE TIGHTNESS/RIDE COMFORT/FIT & FINISH/HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING/STEREO/ENGINE TEMPERATURE/
Cons: Center Console
Advice: The AWD is great if you need it. Nothing else even comes close to this car.The first time i drove my car was on Christmas Eve. The snow was gently falling and conditions were quickly icing up, however, the all-wheel drive handled superbly adding a sense of confidence. Heading out of my neighborhood, i watched as three cars spun out right in front of me. The DSC-X and AWD balanced perfectly and i held my perfect line. The HDC was also amazing through the steep icy hills. To test the handling of the car, I approached a turn I normally take at 40mph at 85mph. The car turned and slid through the turn beautifully, allowing me to maintain control throughout. This car is absolutely amazing. The AWD is also an added bonus on my long snowy drives to college.
Pros: The ENGINE, baby, the engine
Cons: the interior isn't great, it's not very sleek inside, compared to the outside look
Advice: Make sure you have another car for everyday driving!!!I saw one of these when I was passing by a car dealer in L.A., and I knew I had to have one. People have told me in the past that they weren't very comfortable, but I read these test drive reviews when I got home to see. People actually RAVED about their comfort. This is one of the neatest, fastest, sports cars I have owned...I basically bought it before I even test drove it, it looked so stylish and fun. If you've got the $$$ to afford this sweet car, GO FOR IT! The new redesigned ergonomic seats are really comfortable!
Cons: High speed wind sound in cabin with top up.
Advice: Don't pay MSRPWonderful blend of comfort and performance. Hugs the road. My son is trained in high speed chase, and loves the car. The 'skin' turns heads.
Pros: my custom glasspack exhaust system, LOUD!!!
Cons: I LOVE EVERYTHING!
Advice: Black is very hard to keep clean!!!!Love at first sight, passion at first drive! when i took this new gt out in a test drive i fell in love and i just had to get it, it by far is the most beautiful and fastest car i have ever owned. great bang for the buck! i definantly recomend you buy one!
Pros: Quality! Interior, exterior, sound system, nav.
Cons: Flat, unbolstered seat; dull steering; run-flat tire noise & stiffness.
Advice: If you want comfort, switch out tires; if sportiness, upgrade suspensionThis is a luxury convertible first, a sports car second. Plenty of power, but setup for cruising, not cornering. Perfect for a sunny day meander, good daily commuter (but terrible gas milage in city driving). Back seat is fine for extra cargo space most two-seaters lack - there's even a pooch cover! - but don't expect even small children to sit back there.
