Later, repair-manual editing gigs at Chilton’sand HPBooks segued into a 13-year stint at Newport Beach, CA-based Road & Track, where he also created the award-winning Exotic Cars Quarterly and Open Road magazines. Ron subsequently joined the staffs of Motor Trend and Car and Driver, and in between penned three Camaro restoration handbooks, a Nissan 350Z coffee table book and evaluated General Motors and competitive cars for Vice Chair Bob Lutz. Ron is a Tucson, Arizona freelance author and fleet manager of a natty 1960 Volvo 544, a nifty regular-cab stick-shift 2012 GMC Canyon and a necessary 2015 Subaru Outback.
