    2005 Chrysler 300C - Base RWD

    Pros: Features: Styling and handling.

Cons: My inability to buy one immediately.

Advice: Go for the gold; go for the 300C.

The most appropriate (and sorry to say overused) word to describe the Chrysler 300C is AWESOME! I am old enough to remember the 'lead sleds' of the 50's with the 'chopped and channeled' street rods like the Mercs and Fords of the day. However, this is the first manufacturer who has produced one from the get-go. I had the thrill of test driving this car and was I ever favorably impressed with the overall look inside and out and most especially the great performance of this over 2 ton behemoth with the Hemi-heart. It handled like a dream and was very easy to drive; much unlike my previous Lincoln Town Cars which looked nice but drove like . . .. (Well, you know.)I took the Chrysler out on some winding and bumpy back roads and it was quiet and handled very well. At one point I took the wrong road which ended with no outlet forcing me to turn around on a very narrow street which was no problem at all with the tight turning radius of this rear-wheel drive beauty. And if you are worried about rear-wheel drive - don't be. With stability and traction control and ABS, this car will outperform any other rear drive car that you have driven previously in the winter. And if you are skeptical, then wait for the all wheel drive version coming in the Fall of 2005.Getting in and out of the car was fantastically easy and the comfort of the seating was excellent. I have driven just about every vehicle in my search for my next car, viz.,Acura TL, Maxima SL, Kia Amanti, Infiniti G35, Buick Park Avenue, Cadillac Sedan DeVille, Hyundai XG350L, Chevrolet Impala SS etc., and the winner hands down from among all of this competition is the Chrysler 300C. Don't cheat yourself out of the experience of test driving this car before you purchase your next car. It is a winner on every front even the fuel usage with its special 8/4 cylinder mode which saves beaucoup fuel on the highway getting a super 28mpg. This is going to be my next car in Cool Vanilla with the light greystone leather interior. Chrysler has produced a major motivator in every way with the 2005 Chrysler 300C.
