For the second year in a row, a team member from the Chrysler Group has been named a “Working Mother of the Year” by Working Mother magazine: Mary Ann Kirsch, senior manager for Indirect Purchasing, was this year’s honoree and was among those recently receiving Changemaker Awards from the publication at its annual gala in New York City.

Said mother-of-three Kirsch: “It is a great honor to be included among so many accomplished women business leaders, who achieve so much each day by meeting the challenges of balancing family needs and career aspirations.”

It’s also worth noting that this isn’t the first time a Chrysler Group employee has been recognized as a Working Mother of the Year. In 2012, Linda T. Hamway was presented with a Changemaker Award as a mother of twins and head of Product Development Purchasing for the company’s D-segment vehicles.

“Women are a vital part of Chrysler Group’s commitment to cultivating a diverse organization, and we are proud of being recognized for promoting a flexible work environment,” explained Nancy A. Rae, senior vice president for Human Resources for Chrysler Group LLC. “This commitment is a competitive advantage for our company as we continue to develop talented people who reflect the diversity of our communities, including our customers and business partners.”

And remember, in September, the Chrysler Group also earned a spot on the magazine’s list of “100 Best Companies for Working Mothers,” a distinction the automaker achieved for the 14th time.
