Great vehicle for family
I was looking for a used car to buy
Pros: Comfortable for family size
Cons: Many problems within engine.
Advice: Caution at the time of buy if you hear any strange noises within vehicle mechanical components. QUESTION IT!!! Rethink your decision if you are to purchase a Chevy Venture.
Be careful with the test drive. Do not allow the seller to pressure you into a purchase if it does not feel right.Pros: color
Cons: engine
Advice: have lots of repair issues
try others you will be much happierPros: Room for everything, everybody and to breath.
Cons: Removable seats are heavy.
Advice: Put it to the test....you won't be disappointed.
Just traded in a 2000 Venture LS with 163,000 miles for a new 2004 Extended LT. Most versitile vehicle imaginable. I care for mother and mother-in-law....both can get into and ride comfortably in the Venture even with disabilities. I cater weddings and others events. Will haul everything safely (even the cakes)...even cross country!! Can carry lumber, feed, whatever for my farm. We added a trailer hitch for the small trailer I occassionally pull. Has a better factory stereo than the fancy dancy ones my teenagers have put in their trucks. Even won a friendly little wager with husband's truck...race you to the next stop light. What more can a mom ask for??Pros: Cargo Space
Cons: 2nd row seats are tougher to get out
Advice: Spend the extra cash for the DVD player
Excellent riding automobile! DVD and wireless headphones a godsend! Hauls 6 softball players, 6 bags, and 2 coolers easilyPros: DVD Entertainment System and versatility of seating arrangements.
Cons: Floating ride in second/third row seating.
Advice: Buy only from a dealership whose service department provides quality service.
Test drive was selling. We bought that night. Since then we've experienced a rattling on drivers side between driver seat and second row. Could be surrounding window. It's annoying. We've taken it to the dealership multiple times for service but they seem less than concerned about it and therefore we still rattle. Additionally, we began experiencing grinding breaks at 15000 miles as did my sister (who has identical van). Again, dealership was less than concerned and the problem still exists.
