Cons: Electronic problems
Advice: $ for $, you can't beat the TrailblazerRuns well and is very appealing. Storage space in the back is very ample as well as leg room for all passengers. We use the Trailblazer to pull a fairly large tent trailer and you don't even notice it. A much better option for towing than a minivan.
Pros: Smooth, powerful engine
Cons: Storage space is limited
Advice: Get it!!!This car has been flawless. Powerful and actually fun to drive for a SUV. Looks good inside and out. Love the comfort features.
Pros: I6 engine 270hp
Cons: Initial Quality - AWD switch bad and hood defect
Advice: LS good dealAfter comparing to Explorer, Trailblazer is smoother and rides quieter. Less engine noise since you need Ford V8 to keep up with Chevy I6. Good towing power but may have liked to change gear ratio for better towing capacity. I pull 3000 lb camper and would like a little more power - however not bad. Interior is comfortable and I upgraded to LT to get power seat, however the LT is probably overpriced compared to Explorer with similar options. Two warranty concerns so far, switches into AWD without touching switch occasionally and hood has corner defect from stamping at factory. Honda and Toyota still have better overall quality in vehicles!! I LIKE THE TRAILBLAZER AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT!
Cons: No remote hatch release
Advice: If you are not serious about buying dont test driveI love this truck!!! The look is awesome, different than anything else. Has plenty of room for whatever you are hauling. The ride is so much more comfortable than the 4-runner or explorer. It handled nicely, love the rear air & heat for the children and the fact it was designed for the shorter women who want to drive SUV's.
Pros: The power and smoothness of the power train
Cons: Seat belts coming form the seat back is a nuisance
Advice: Buy it, but negotiate the price and financingThis is the finest vehicle I have owned and when my friends see and ride in it they are so impressed two of them bought one of their own. Chevrolet has a winner with this car. When I sell my 4wd Pick Up, I will buy the 4wd extended version of the Trail Blazer
Pros: Turning radius
Cons: power steering over assisted
Advice: If you plan to tow look at higher axle ratiosGood power with 4.10 rear axle. Power steering overassisted. In an SUV in this price range should be speed variable assist. Center console not as usable as old style. If you plug in a cell phone you can't use one can holder. If you want to put the transmission in first you can't use another. Ride is much improved and road noise is minimal. Turning radius is great.
Pros: ride and drive quality
Cons: very poor gas mileage and too small fuel tank
Advice: don't believe the gas mileage ratings ther not even closefuel mileage is very bad, have complained to dealer, they are reviewing-I'm getting 10.5gpm city and 15.9highway--driving it very gentlely. The rating is 15gpm city and 21gpm highway, I thought I would get at least 14gpm city and 19 to 20 highway. Also rear seat enty and exit is very narrow compared to some others. The vehicle drives and rides great and runs very well, acouple friends with Jeep grand cherokees with 6cyl. are getting 19 to 20 gpm highway, might have been the way to go.
