my dependable chevy truck
Pros: auto four wheel drive
160000 miles and no breakdowns, still has lots of power and I trust it to take me anywhere, Ride is tight and steady and truck is comfortable on long trips.Pros: Driving comfort.
Cons: Noisy rear side windows. Latch does not close them tight enough. Noisy at about 70+ MPH
Advice: I think this truck will give you the best value out of the big 3, Dodge and Ford.
The truck drives like a Cadillac. Very comfortable. 5.3 liter engine provides plenty of pep and power. I tow a 3,000 lbs.+ boat and trailor with ease. I had a handful of small things go wrong during the 3 yr. warranty. The 4 wheel anti-lock brakes take some time to get used to. I use it off-road road at times and it performs very well. Not Baja stuff, you would be better off with the Nisson Titan for that. Over all it's a great truck, right price.Pros: the truck is very nice looking
Cons: gas milage
Advice: make sure that you keep after the dealer or dealers that you deal with on repairs --- they claim ever noise or problem you have with it is normal
chevy is having problems with the automantic transmissions --they claim that a loud noise in the shifting is normal (it wasn't this way when I bought it ) so when asked which way is normal they can't answer you !!!! Also they have an auto light system that comes on and off when it feels like it --again this is normal so I was told !!! Was told if the computer on the truck doesn't code than there isn't anything wrong -So does this mean if I get a flat tire and the computer says I don't --Do I have a flat or not ???Pros: room
Cons: I love it all
Advice: Go for it
GreatPros: Rims and lowered suspension
Cons: there is nothing i dislike about this truck
Advice: If you can afford it - get it, you'll love it.
This truck is by far the best truck on the roads today. The SS is definitely an attention getter, even Hemi drivers are jealous. It has all the power you will ever need. Sometimes i cant help but punch it when i get onto the highway. The favorite thing i like about this truck is the 20 inch rims and the throaty exhaust note that comes from the 3.5 inch pipe. I get 18.2 mpg on the highway going 70, that aint bad for a 5200 pound truck.Pros: The way the truck drives.
Cons: None
Advice: check price at other dealerships.
Excellent vehicle, best truck I've had.Pros: Looks and POWER!
Cons: Nothing
Advice: you want looks, you want power, you want chevy!! Nothing has more power
Well actually its a 2005! First, I have 285 70 17 bfg mud terrains and a 4-10 gear ratio, and I can still smoke hemis out of my pipes. Love it, best trucks on the road have a bowtie on it!! You can test drive all the trucks in the world, but once you drive a chevy, you'll never go back. Unless you have bad credit or your just cheap, then you'll buy a ford or a dodge.
