Pros: CAPTAIN CHAIRS/COMFORT
Advice: VERY IMPORTANT TO GO TO A GOOD DEALERSHIP. 3-WAY CHEVROLET IN THE AUTOMALL WAS OUTSTANDING WITH HANDLEING MY NEEDS AND CONCERNS. CHEERS TO THE BEST VEHICLE BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED.I TEST DROVE THE 5.3 AND IT WAS SO POWERFUL, I WAS PEELING OUT WITHOUT TRYING. AWESOME RIDE..
Pros: Heated seats
Cons: Takes a while to warm up to ideal performance
Advice: test drive it in snow and on icy roadsRides high and tough. Appearance is great, but performance was not ideal in the snow. We have a place in the mountains and I drive up each weekend.
Pros: Ergonomic comfort or the 5.3 engine
Advice: Get the features you want.I Love my bowtie, leather adj. seats, power everthing and what power. The 5.3 is awesome, the ride is more sportscar than truck even with heavy suspention. Caverness interior, rich sound system, more do-dads than I need but I have been spoiled by the heated seats this winter and I don't even like trucks.. or I didn't. I do enough stuff to need one and so far I'm glad i got this one. Wher's yours?
Cons: Still just a little too much plastic for me.
Advice: GO FOR IT !!!!I've bought/owned Chevrolet trucks & cars for the past 30+ years and GM is getting better at it. This truck is AWESOME. I bought the fully loaded LT model and 5.3 engine is the best yet. Comfort of leather seating is wonderful. So far everything is working perfectly and is nothing but a joy to drive.
Pros: Powerful V-8
Cons: Nothing I didn't like
Advice: Styling, roominess, comfort and perfromance. It's got it all!Awewsome truck! I test drove the new Fords and new Dodges, but the Chevrolet had what I wanted in a truck. The 5.3 liter V-8 outperformed the 5.9 liter from Dodge and the 5.4 liter from Ford in every category. This also has to be the most comfortable and spacious truck I've ever owned. The egronomics are great. I have a family of 5 and everyone agrees that it's the best. I highly encourgage you test drive a new Chevrolet before making your final decision.
Cons: Wanted LT console and couldn't get it
Advice: Opt for the 5300Rides beautifully... doubt I will ever go back to a car
Pros: Engine performance.
Cons: Color choices are few and not very exciting.
Advice: Take a ride. Look at the undercarriage engineering.I have 42,588 miles on a 2000 LS Extended Cab 4x4 and it has performed flawlessly. The power is tremendous. I have two friends (1 with a Ford; the other with Dodge) with comparable engines and the Silverado can accelerate pass them 'at will' and gets better true calculated fuel mileage. The truck rides wonderful and steers with precision. The only flaw is a small squeak in dash and I have been able to find it and correct it.
