    2002 Chevrolet S-10 - LS 4x2 Extended Cab

    Pros: Drivetrain

    Cons: Small back seat

    Advice: Buy the extend cab with the 4.3 liter engine

    This is my 2nd S-10 4X4. I've owned a Ranger, B-4000, and a Tacoma. This is by far a better truck than any other I've owned. The powertrain of a 4.3, mated with either transmission has much more low-end torque than the others; I highly recommend the 3.73 rear differential. Going over the mountain passes in Colorado is a breeze with the S-10. Off-road, it has performed without a flaw. In my opinion, this is the best compact pickup made.
