    2004 Chevrolet Malibu - Base

Pros: room, fuel economy, power everything, looks

    Cons: nothing

Advice: compare with imports and you will buy or lease this one

I have the basic Malibu, but it comes loaded with power everything. This car is one I could drive as my primary family sedan, but it serves as our available car at a vacation home. It was the least expensive lease I could find on any car and it was my first choice in that class. The fuel economy is in the mid 30s on the highway at 75mph. Outstanding car! If one wants more performance, it is available.

    2004 Chevrolet Malibu - LS

    Pros: steering and safety features.

    Cons: auto locking options restrictive

    Advice: buy this car

Steering great improvement over the 2001 heavy hand Malibu. Multi position seat, pedal adjustment and steering wheel tilt and extension adjustment make for a very comfortable driving position. Traction control excellent in snow. Only problem is a developing rattle in the rear drive line that has not yet been identified. Overall, a great improvement over the previous models.

    2003 Chevrolet Malibu - LS

    Pros: All the power goodies.

Cons: The steering wheel is too skinny for larger hands.

Advice: Definitely spring for the LS package!

What can I say but OH WOW! This is a great car with lots of goodies that you just don't expect. I would highly recommend springing for the LS upgrade, it's well worth it! Excellent power, comfortable seating, power everything and great gas mileage all rolled into one. And it doesn't look too bad, either!

    2003 Chevrolet Malibu - LS

    Pros: Sunroof

    Cons: small gas tank

Advice: worth checking out over imports if resale isn't a big deal to you.

So far so good. I've had it for a few weeks, bought it as a daily driver. Its done everything I want the way I want it. I have the Sunroof, leather which is nice for the long comutes. The styling is a bit boring but I think that is an advantage as I plan to keep the car until it dies.

    2002 Chevrolet Malibu - Base

    Pros: 3.1L V6

    Cons: nothing yet

Advice: if you want to buy a reliable worry free car buy a malibu

I was really surprised with the room inside the malibu. It doesn't look that big from the exterior. Drove nice and lots of power.

    2002 Chevrolet Malibu - LS

    Pros: Power WITH good mileage

Cons: Needs one more cup holder

Advice: Upgrade to the LS trim - It's well worth it

Gets over 30 mpg on highway, and thats cruising at over 75mph! Ls trim (in 2002) adds an awesome 100 watt subwoofer (a shocking suprise in this model line)
