The 2013 Chevy Malibu Turbo will soon become the third entry on the Bowtie brand’s midsize sedan roster, showing off a third powertrain choice that brings both high performance—including the ability to sprint from 0-60 in 6.3 seconds—and fairly healthy EPA marks of up to 21 mpg city/30 mpg highway/24 mpg combined. The most athletic member of the Malibu team will be offered in a well-equipped LT trim that represents the mid-point of the lineup in terms of amenities, and includes a price tag of $27,710, as well as a range-topping LTZ version that opens at $30,925.
Those MSRPs do include a $925 destination charge, along with standard features like Chevy’s color-touch radio with a seven-inch screen and Bluetooth technology, upgraded 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, 10 airbags, steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, a dual-zone climate system, and, on the LTZ, LED taillamps, leather seating and heated front seats. Of course, the full range of premium Malibu options is available, too, allowing drivers to enjoy the Chevy MyLink connectivity system, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, navigation, and premium sound from Pioneer.
