    2003 Chevrolet Impala - LS

Pros: Acceleration, smooth transmission, big car feel.

Cons: Sight line while backing up.

Advice: Overall, it is underrated. Get a 3800 loaded! A base model will more than suffice for a family - safety ratings are superior.

Somewhat loud, powerful and nimble yet tolerable. Good passing acceleration; hard stopping is extremely smooth. Better than average shock absorption on poor roads at medium speeds with no loss of control sensations. Originally rented one only because it was available and thoroughly enjoyed it - discovered it by accident.

    2003 Chevrolet Impala - LS

Pros: The XM radio is slick and the controls on the steering wheel

    Cons: Front wheel drive

Advice: Talk the price down-still over priced for its fit and finish

Drove the 2004 Impala SS with the supercharger and then drove the 2003 LS no power differance is really noticable. TO bad they don't come in other colors than black this year. Rides great, handles great, power is nice but a V-8 would be even better. Even so only 10 less horses than my IROC back in 85 technology is amazing.

    2003 Chevrolet Impala - LS

    Pros: Too many to list

    Cons: headrests on seats

Advice: Get the 3.8 liter engine, its great !

I've had my Impala for about 6 weeks and over 2000 miles and I love this car. Plenty of power, good gas mileage, and roomy enough for people over 6 feet tall to sit comfortably in the back. A great car for its price, and very reliable. I honestly can't say enough positive things about my Impala. The ride is also very smooth, and the trunk is huge. If your looking for a good, American, sedan look no further than the Impala !

    2003 Chevrolet Impala - LS

    Pros: Ride, Interior room

Cons: If I want to go from radio to CD I cannot do that from the steering wheel controls, I have to push 'CD' on the radio itself.

Advice: Take it for a test drive, you may just end up buying one that day!

When I pulled into the dealership I was not intending to buy a vehicle that day. Once I saw that black Impala with the sport appearance package, I was very interested, then I sat in it, just one word, LOVE. The seats are firm where they need to be yet soft and supple. The sound system is great, the ride is superb, and the interior is spacious. I feel like I am in a $50K+ vehicle when I am in it. I am 6’2’ and have more than enough room. Everything is easy so see and within reach. The trunk is huge. I can fit 3 child car seats in the back seat. Everybody always wants me to drive when we go anywhere. I am very proud of my Impala and would recommend it to anyone.

    2003 Chevrolet Impala - Base

    Pros: Roominess

Cons: I thought the vehicle was overpriced a little bit.

Advice: Plan on keeping this car for a few years; it's nice.

The ride of the sedan was very smooth and comfortable. We considered the Malibu LS, but it was much smaller and it's 3.1L engine was no comparison to the Impala's 3.4L in our opinion. The gas mileage and sound system are both icing on the cake. We had the 1995 Lumina, which is similar to this model. The 1995 Lumina's interior quality was not good (cupholders broke off and rear view mirror fell off). We'll see if the Impala's interior wear will be much better.

    2003 Chevrolet Impala - LS

    Pros: interior and sound system

    Cons: high back deck

Advice: compare to grand prix, lx300, bmw 3series and compare for total value

minor trim problems give the 4 rating. they are always solved at service time without question. the seies two engine is a beast. on recent road trip to the east coast, i had it up to 120 on rt17 in southern ny and had 2k left on the tach. wow!! lumbar seats make a 10 hour drive acceptable at 48 yrs old it's a cruiser.

    2003 Chevrolet Impala - LS

    Pros: Everything covered.

    Cons: No fold-away outside mirrors.

Advice: I suggest this great overall sedan if it will fit your budget. And watch for the 2004 Impala SS as well!

I checked the LS thoroughly. It includes its standard and optional features. It includes h.p., torque and m.p.g. It is great in all those areas. And it rides smooth. It has plenty of passenger and cargo room. I only have one minor problem with this sedan. It lacks fold-away outside mirrors. Like I said, it is minor. I highly recommend this sedan. It is as long as it fits your budget.
