2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Hatchback

Pros: Comfortable seats and smooth quiet engine

Cons: Trunk size on the hatchback

    Advice: None

We rented a 2007 Chevy Aveo hatchback with automatic transmission for a road trip through Northern Oregon and Washington States. Drove for 2 weeks along the coast and through the mountains. The car was loaded with the two of us with two weeks of luggage, some of which had to lay on the back seat. I was surprised how well this car behaved itself. The engine had plenty of torque and horsepower. The ride and seats were comfortable. Gas mileage was between 32 and 34mpg, and once we attained 37mpg on a day we carried no luggage and the road was flat. Over all, the car was a pleasure and I am thinking about buying one.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan

    Pros: Fuel efficiancy

    Cons: No air conditioning

Advice: Make sure of all the options you would like in a car

We bought this car for commuting. It has great MPG. We made the mistake of not making sure it had air conditioning. We did not know cars were made without air conditioning! Air conditioning should be standard in todays cars.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan

    Pros: Like them all.

Cons: There's nothing not like with this car.

Advice: Once you drive one, you'll want one. Best car in it's class, dollar for dollar.

My wife just bought the car a week ago. It is fully loaded. The interior is nice with an excellent sound system. Lots of leg and head room. The car is the easiest car to get in and out of I have ever seen. Just the right height. The trunk is big for a car it's size. It handles like a dream in tight curves. That four banger jumps to 60 surprisingly very quickly. Once it's broke in I expect it to get 34-36 mpg once my wife puts between three and six thousand miles on it.

2006 Chevrolet Malibu MAXX - SS

    Pros: Looks

    Cons: Radio

Advice: Take it for a spin

I've been driving this car since Dec.'05 and she is running great! It's a lot more fun to drive than I would have expected. Exterior fit and is trimmed well, while the interior is roomy and very functional. Nice interior trim as well. Dash instrumentation is easy to see and clean looking, but the radio buttons are a little much. Could have used more gears, but it's quite peppy with its 240HP 3.9 V6 engine. There is a lot to like about this car...but too bad GM wants to discontinue it next year. Its affordable, highly functional, and sporty too! Haven't had this much fun in years. People comliment it all the time, and there are many headturns when its in the parking lot. Too bad that there are no aftermarket parts yet and Chevy missed the boat on that one as well. Go out and get one before they are all gone.. this one is a keeper!
