2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan

Pros: good safety features, great gas mileage, very reliable, affordable

Cons: needs more front cup holders

Advice: Buy and Aveo, you can't beat it for the money

I bought a 2007 Aveo 5 door hatch back LS with automatic trans and air condictioning for my 16 year old daughter. That was 2 and a half years and 30,000 miles ago. Its been a great little car ! No problems at all and gets great gas mileage. This was the perfect car for my daughter to learn how to drive. Its easy to drive, has great visiblity and very good safety features like side impact air bags with good crash test ratings. I guy at work has the same car but with a manual transmission and he swears he is getting 40 MPG ! What do people expect from a $12,000 car ? Its a great value made by company that is owned by General Motors. Japanese cars are nice but over rated.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan

    Pros: 4 door

Cons: the recent problems the squealing is driving me nutts

Advice: do not buy a chevy colorado unless you take it to an outside machanic first.

we have a 2005 chevy colorado 4 door we have had few problems, but we were haunted by the sales person to buy the extended warenty, which we told them we just do not have that kind of money right now.We kept getting calls and letters. Then we were actualy told that they could gaurentee us that when the warenty of 30,000 miles was up,we would start having trouble. So we could not afoird to not get the extended warenty. We went in for a free oil change, and now have a squealing that keeps getting louder and louder.

2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx - LT

    Pros: small and yet roomy

    Cons: bad brakes and transmission

Advice: be prepared to have the brakes replaced around 45,000 miles (happened on both of my Malibu's). Get the extended warrenty so you can get GM to pay for their poor product.

Purchased 2004 Malibu Max in Dec 2004. With 45,000 miles on it I had to replace the brakes and as of Nov 18, 2007 I had to replace the transmission with only 54,000 miles on it. The warranty is for 3 years 36,000 miles and that's also when the powertrain warranty expires. Now I have to pay $3100.00 to buy a rebuilt GM transmission that has a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty on it. Figure that one!!! I've had GM's in the past and after this piece dies, i'm switching to foreign. I won't buy a GM again.

2004 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan

    Pros: Smooth and quiet operation

Cons: Expected more than 33 mpg

Advice: Buy japanese if you seem to have trouble with cars you have owned previously

Seats are comfortable. The engine is fast enough for the small car. Very quiet for a small car. Braking is good. Only surprise that it doesn't get much higher than 33 mpg fuel economy. Have owned for three years and have had no repairs outside oil changes, and one free warranty repair. So if you know how to take care of a car, this car can be bought and owned for a very small amount of money.

2005 Chevrolet Aveo - Special Value Sedan

    Pros: Toss-up - Comfort/gas mileage/4 doors!

Cons: I honestly can't think of anything negitive about this little car!

Advice: PERFECT first car, great on gas, and it REALLY is bigger than it looks!

This car was suggested to me by a dealer. I am on a tight budget so value was of upmost importance. Needless to say, this is the best lil car I've ever had. It's GREAT on gas, and it's more roomy on the inside than it looks. I have a husband and a kid, and there's still room for more! It's very comfortable, and the payments are VERY affordable! The trunk is HUGE! We fit a lawnmower in it with the seats down. I love my little Aveo!

2004 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan

    Pros: gas milage

    Cons: handling

    Advice: not for new/unexperienced drivers!!

Great on gas milage, but it has to be 80 degrees and no wind, to have a safe comfortable drive. i dont reccomend for teens or new drivers. its cheap, and the interior is classy, but i cant wait to get rid of it!! i definately do not feel safe in that car.
