Good handling and not a bad ride considering it's size. The savings make up for the size of the car. Seems to have a lot of road noise in cabin. 2010 Chevrolet Aveo - 1LT Sedan
Pros: the cute dashboard. All around cute in appearance
Cons: Unreliable...there is also no engine power.
Advice: Drive the heck out of it because it might fail before you are allowed to exchange it within 30 days....drive it a lot to find out if it is worth buying.
I just purchased this car and owned it for 10 days. It does not get the suggested gas mileage as promised from the manufacturer. It promises 32 hwy and 26 city and yet I never once got the AVERAGE above 24????? On the 10th day I drove it home in a snow storm after a long day with friends and all of a sudden the check engine light popped on and the vehicle de-celerated down to 20mph while travelling down a busy four lane hwy. I pulled over into a residential neighborhood and called a tow. the car would not travel faster than 5 mph even with the gas pedal floored. Meanwhile, as I sat waiting in blizzard conditions in the lovely Minnesota winter the heater wouldn't work properly. When I turned the heat on the steering wheel shimmied and the engine started dying. I am on my way to go shopping for a different car. -

I just love this little car..with inside room that belies it's small footprint. Smooth ride and great stero sound...I was suprized at the fit and finish of the car and the low level of road noise.It's cheap so get the full package of features..and you can't go wrong...They made it a little wider and made the ride great. -

I bought a 2007 Aveo 5 door hatch back LS with automatic trans and air condictioning for my 16 year old daughter. That was 2 and a half years and 30,000 miles ago. Its been a great little car ! No problems at all and gets great gas mileage. This was the perfect car for my daughter to learn how to drive. Its easy to drive, has great visiblity and very good safety features like side impact air bags with good crash test ratings. I guy at work has the same car but with a manual transmission and he swears he is getting 40 MPG ! What do people expect from a $12,000 car ? Its a great value made by company that is owned by General Motors. Japanese cars are nice but over rated.
