    2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 - 4x4

    Pros: Versatile

Cons: Ugly side trim and running boards

Advice: Get the Z-71 Pkg. Sunroof too

Try it...You'll like it.. Best of both worlds..pickup and/or luxury vehicle. I didn't go to the dealer looking for one, I wanted a Silverado Z-71 like I had, but with 0% finance. I took this for a test ride and I was hooked..Simply one of the fineist vehicles I have owned!!

    2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 - 4x2

Pros: The convert -a- truck system.

Cons: Body side molding not painted the same color as truck.

Advice: Get the Z66 or Z71 package

I bought the Z66 with the premium on road option. The drive and handling are great. It rides and drive better than the Dodge Ram 1500 and the Ford Expedition. For about $3,000 (dealer's quote) on a paint job, you'll have a $54,000 Excalade EXT. I'm sure the Excalade EXT has more options than the Avalanche, but not anything I would pay an extra $20,000 - $25,000 for.

    2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 - 4x4

    Pros: Mid-gate

    Cons: breaks

Advice: prepare to be surprised. is it a truck or a luxery sedan???

I have only one major concern with the Avalance that I bought, the brakes don't feel very solid. It is used, (perk car) so I will probably take it in to a dealer and have them inspect the system. Other than that, I feel like a little kid with a new toy. My kids love it, and even my wife can't complain. 5 Stars.

    2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 - 4x4

    Pros: The whole vehicle

    Cons: Nothing

Advice: Buy it you will love it!

I could not belive how this truck/suv performs I purchased mine in Ohio and drove it to Chicago. The performance and quickness of the V-8 engine was impressive. The steering and ride was equal too if not better than my town car. There is no wind noise,or engine noise like my previous vehicles. The chevy engineers can be proud of this one. Like most powerful trucks the gas mileage was around 18 highway. But this is without a doubt the best built truck in the USA. Backing up you have to be careful as the high bed tends to lose the distance between you and an object behind you.

    2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 - 4x2

Pros: The midgate makes the vehicle the most versatile on the road.

Cons: I didn't get the sunroof. That was my worst mistake.

Advice: Get the convenience package. It is worth the money

Absolutely the best vehicle I have ever owned. I can't believe this is the first year it is out. Usually, I avoid the first model year, but in this case, I'm glad I made the exception.
