Pros: Electric Fold Away Mirrors
Cons: The Length
Advice: Check the overall length before bringing homeSexy Sexy Truck! If a car can be sexy, this is it. When I first sat in the drivers seat, I knew this was the one for me. I bought the Z66 model and I think that has made a difference in the overall 'truck' feel. That's what my passengers have told me anyway. This is my first American car purchase and first ever truck. Did not know it is bigger than a Suburban until I got her home and I had to do some major cleaning in the garage. Us Texans sure do love our BIG cars. Check that before you bring it home and make sure the back passenger doors open when unlocked. One of mine didn't and I had to take her back to get it fixed - reason I didn't rate quality so high. I have had her for three days now and I'm still smiling ear to ear - going to the store for one item at a time just so I can drive some where. Love it!!
Pros: Overall the luxurious interior and features ie: Sattelite Radio, Onstar
Cons: I am worried about gas mileage
Advice: Don't vascillate, if you like the ride and comfort, buy it...I was pleasantly surprised with the features the Avalance offered, the interior equipment is very luxurious. All of the appointments from the Sattelite Radio to the On-Star system are all very nice. The only concern I have is the 31 gallon fuel tank, especially with the gas prices at the level they are, however, I am glad I purchased this vehicle, it is definitely a 'Head Turner', that is a nice feeling. Sincerely, John P. Burke 31 Garfield St. Foxboro, MA 02035
Pros: The ride.
Cons: The Silverado front end.
Advice: What are you waiting for?Drove it, loved it, bought it.
Pros: Heated seats
Cons: The back cargo door is way to heavy
Advice: Test drive it.. Same quility as the Cadillac EscaladeThis is a great fun vehicle. It handles great on the beach and in the snow. I can fit lots of sporting equipment in the back. This truck is great for camping. I can fit quite a few football players comfortably. My son is learning to drive this SUV. I figure if he can handle he can handle anything...
Pros: The whole car, sunroof, and roominess
Cons: the price is a little high, but isn't everything now adays except geo's?
Advice: Buying a used one to save a little money is something to think about, they're still greatIt handles just like a cadilac, smooth as a baby's bottom. It's very roomy for larger adults. It also cleans well which is always an issue for a mother of 3. It's got great pickup and I always feel safe for me and my children.
Pros: The midgate.
Cons: When I come home and have to park it for the night.
Advice: Buy one before the price goes up.Bought new 10/19/03, have 5,973 trouble fee miles so far. It is simply the best truck on the mkt, period. Drives like a lux car, gets about 18 miles to the gallon average and you can't hear the motor running doing 75 mph on the interstate. What more could you want? Best suv, p/u truck, and highway cruser I have ever owned.
Pros: The entire Southern Comfort Package.
Cons: No complaints yet.
Advice: If you can get your hands on an Avalanche SS loaded with the Southern Comfort Package, buy it immediately. My initial test drive was just a conformation that I would purchase my Avalanche SS the first day that I saw it. The 5.3L Vortex(TM), 4-8 engine provided a smooth but powerful acceleration on the highway. The Avalanche SS comes loaded with amenities so, comfort is not an issue. Although I rave over my vehicle now, I actually never had an interest in the Chevrolet Avalanche until the day that I purchased mine. I would recommend the Avalanche to anyone.
