Volvo Sensus is the operating system that runs the infotainment, navigation, car settings and other onboard electronic features in Volvo’s cars. The system uses a 7 inch high resolution color display and is controlled mainly via the tuning knob or with the steering wheel controls.

In addition to controlling and personalizing the audio system, climate control, lighting, and central locking you can also control car safety features such as the Active Bending Lights, Adaptive Cruise Control (or ACC), Collision Warning system, Pedestrian Detection system, Blind Spot Information System (or BLIS), and Driver Alert System.

The Sensus screen shows images from the park assist camera, DVD player, and the Volvo Built-In Navigation System, and is also used for Volvo Bluetooth Hands-free controls for mobile phones. The steering wheel controls can be used to control these parts of the system as well, allowing the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and their attention on the surrounding traffic.
