What Is The Audi A8 L W12 6.3?

The Audi A8 L W12 is a four-door full-size long-wheelbase luxury sedan powered by a 6.3l 48-valve W12 engine that makes 500 HP and 463 ft-lbs of torque backed by an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission and the Audi quattro all-wheel drive system. The W12 engine is basically two Volkswagen VR6 engines mated together, resulting in a short and compact power unit.

The A8 L W12 is one of Audi's top of the line cars, and features a long list of standard safety features, including dual-stage front airbags, knee airbags, Sideguard head curtain airbags, front and rear thorax side airbags, full LED headlights with headlight washing system, LED taillights and rear fog light, LED turn signals in the mirrors, and Audi side assist and pre sense rear. The optional Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and Audi lane assist while the Night vision assistant with pedestrian detection is also available.
