All About Cadillac’s Massage Chairs

For busy people who are always on the go and don’t have time to make it to the spa or to visit the massage therapist, Cadillac is offering seats that can knead, roll, and relax the driver’s and front passenger’s backs as they drive in their car. The 22-way adjustable heated and ventilated seats have a luxury option which includes a special massage function that massages the front passengers' upper shoulder, back lumbar, and cushion areas. The driver’s seat also features an anti-fatigue option to help keep the driver alert.

While many people are under the impression that massage is just a way to relax, the benefits are actually wide ranging, especially for those who spend a lot of time sitting at a desk or behind the wheel of a car. While the seats can’t provide quite the same experience as a trained practitioner, they can at least provide some comfort for the driver and passenger, helping to improve their drive.

Using illustrations on the car’s infotainment screen and a toggle switch or activation button, the driver and front passenger can control the desired massage setting (kneading, rolling, or anti-fatigue) and its intensity. Like the seat positions, the massage seats’ settings can be stored in the car’s memory once the optimal massage is found. The desired setting can then be reactivated at any time by simply pushing the button on the seat base.

Cadillac’s new massage chairs are currently available on the Cadillac Escalade Platinum Collection and the Cadillac XTS Premium and Platinum Collections.
