The 2011 BMW X6 is a full-size luxury sports-activity coupe that combines the sloping roofline of a traditional two-door automobile with the tall ride height and available all-wheel drive of a crossover vehicle. The BMW X6 can accommodate four occupants, and its cargo area can be expanded by folding away the rear seats, giving it a maximum capacity of 60 cubic feet. The entry-level X6 is very well equipped, offering items such as a sunroof, adaptive HID headlights, power leather seats, the iDrive vehicle interface and HD radio. Other features available on the X6 include a voice-controlled navigation system, heated seats and a heated steering wheel, four zones of climate control and performance enhancing systems such as an active suspension. Safety gear can also be upgraded to include a lane departure warning system, active cruise control and a sideview camera.
The BMW X6 xDrive35i is motivated by a 3.0-liter, inline six-cylinder engine that cranks out 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque by way of a turbocharger. Stepping up to the xDrive50i replaces that motor with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 that is capable of generating 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and both comes with all-wheel drive as standard equipment. Fuel mileage figures for either motor have yet to be released.
There is a financing incentive of 0.9% interest or $2,500 total cash back on the 2011 BMW X6 effective until 01/03/2011. See more new car rebates and incentives for November.
