"Truthfully, this was somewhat of a bait and switch. Maybe the low-mileage car I came in to the dealership hoping to look at HAD actually been sold earlier that day, and maybe not, but I was told it had been sold and was pushed into looking at a larger and more expensive car than I had actually wanted. When I balked, the sales manager kept asking me what it would take to make a deal on the larger car that night. Oh, coming back the next Saturday after giving it some more thought wouldn't do, because surely then the car would have already sold. If that were true, I wondered, what makes the difference whether I bought the car or someone else did, but finally the manager made me a deal I could live with and I bought the larger car, which had some features I couldn't have found in the smaller car. I'm not sure I would deal with these guys again though."
