It can also tow up to 5,600 pounds when properly equipped.

The Explorer is a good choice for those who prioritize fuel economy, as it’s also offered in a hybrid variant with the same cargo capacity, though a slightly lower 5,000-pound maximum tow rating. Pricing for the 2020 Ford Explorer starts at $36,675, making it one of the more affordable of the largest SUVs for 2020.

2020 Toyota 4Runner

The 2020 Toyota 4Runner comes standard with two rows of seating providing room for five passengers. It’s also available with an optional third row that increases seating to seven passengers. It offers 9.0 cubic feet for cargo behind the third row, 47.2 cubic feet behind the second row, and a total of 89.7 cubic feet behind the front seats.

The Armada is the only Nissan entry on our list. This eight-passenger SUV is offered with a choice of rear-wheel or four-wheel drive and a well-equipped cabin.

It also has a maximum tow rating of up to 8,300 pounds. It offers seating for up to nine passengers with a roomy and upscale interior.

In addition to plenty of room for cargo or passengers and the ability to tow, the Yukon XL is available with a choice of either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive for added capability. Pricing for the 2020 GMC Yukon XL starts at $52,400.

2020 Chevrolet Suburban

Tied for first at the top of our list of 10 largest SUVs is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban. This SUV has a cavernous interior with room for up to eight passengers. There’s 39.3 cubic feet for cargo behind the third row, 76.7 cubic feet behind the second row, and 121.7 cubic feet behind the front seats. The Suburban offers plenty of room for cargo even with a full load of passengers.
