2018 Kia Soul
The Kia Soul is one of our favorites to recommend to moms because it really adds the “FUN” in functional. Thanks to its boxy shape, it’s got plenty of room inside – much more than it would appear from the outside. Two car seats fit just fine, it’s easy for the kids to get in and out of (which ultimately makes things much easier for you), its got a slew of features, and c’mon — it’s adorable! The Soul is also a car that eliminates a lot of mom guilt, starting at just $16,200, it’s easier on the pocketbook than most and you don’t have to feel bad if you decide to splurge for a fully loaded one.

2019 Tesla Model 3
Forget the iPhone X, pulling up in a Tesla Model 3 to pick up your teenager will most definitely secure your “Cool Mom” status. The sleek Model 3 is on trend for many reasons; it’s electric, it comes from an “outsider” brand and it’s hard to get. As a matter of fact, it's so cool that you'll need to get on a 12-18 month waiting list to even get your hands on one. Despite its more compact dimensions, the car is quite roomy inside, and all connected mamas will love the huge high-tech 15-inch display monitor. We're big fans of the long range battery, which can go approximately 310 miles on a single charge and the panoramic glass roof.

2018 Lincoln Navigator
If you roll up in the brand new Lincoln Navigator, prepare for a lot of attention. The Navigator doesn’t mess around; dripping in chrome and sitting on huge wheels, you look like someone the paparazzi should be following. It’s also got some of the most luxurious features you can find in a car. Our favorites include the seats, which can be adjusted over 20 different ways and can actually conform to your body for the most comfortable fit ever.
We’re also smitten over the Lincoln Pickup and Delivery Service— they’ll come and pick up your car for you to take it for maintenance and service, keeping you out of the dealership and free to do the things you want to do, uninterrupted. It’s one of those features that provides you with the luxury of time, which us mamas can always use.

2018 Buick Regal TourX
Pssst … guess what? Wagons can be cool. Don’t believe us? Take a look at the gorgeous Buick Regal TourX. This is a double-whammy because it’s a wagon AND a Buick, but hear us out here. In case you didn’t know, Buick is making some killer cars these days. Aside from a huge cargo hold that makes a major Costco run easy, other perks include things like GM’s in-car app, Marketplace. You can place your coffee order in the car en route to school drop-off, and enjoy a hassle-free pickup after the kids have been delivered safely. There’s also a wi-fi hotspot available for those times you just need to let the kids bust out their iPads.
Be a trailblazer and slide inside the uncommonly good TourX — you’ll instantly fall in love with the buttery soft leather seats and the super quiet cabin. You might even end up taking the long way home to enjoy the solitude.

2018 Toyota 4Runner
Not all mamas prioritize luxury and long for more adventure instead. The Toyota 4Runner is perfect for moms who like to have fun but also get stuff done. We think the rugged styling of the 4Runner is very cool, and we love that it can pull “mom duty” both on- and off-road. Obviously, it’s super capable to take off the beaten path, but the interior is also durable enough to hold up to whatever messy gear or demanding children you put in it. There’s also an optional third row when you need to squeeze in carpool duty. We especially appreciate the Toyota Entune app, which lets you search for a destination from your smartphone and send it to the car for later when you need to navigate there.

2018 Kia Stinger
Talk about a mom car undercover, the Kia Stinger is sporty without sacrifices. Its unique sportback styling means that trunk is actually a sleek hatchback, and that means major convenience for moms anytime they’re loading up the car with groceries, luggage or gear. But let's get back to sporty — from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds, there’s plenty of horsepower to excite you once the errands are run, and it’s very accessible with a starting price of $31,900. If you’re a mom who prioritizes standout styling and precision performance, get ready to turn some heads in the drop off lane with the Stinger. Bet you’ll be the only one cool enough to be driving one.

2019 Volkswagen Jetta
A car like the VW Jetta might make you think of your younger college years, but the all-new Jetta for 2019 got some upgrades that can justify reliving your youth, even with a family in tow. It’s got a great backseat, roomy enough to accommodate those rear-facing car seats, and the trunk is big enough to pack a double stroller. But what really makes it cool is everything you get for such a bargain price.
A fully loaded Jetta with all of the boxes checked is just about $27,000. The 8-inch color touchscreen and 10-inch digital cockpit you’ll find inside are usually reserved for the luxury car segment, and the BeatsAudio system will sound so good cranking those old college tunes. The Jetta even can be had with adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring, which are also key safety upgrades that a mom can always appreciate.

2018 Ford Flex
The Ford Flex is towards the end of its production cycle, but even if it's on the way out, it’s guaranteed to always be in, thanks to its very distinctive styling. Part wagon, part SUV, the Flex has seating for up to 7, which makes it perfect for carpool or better yet, Mom’s Night Out. It comes with just about every feature you could want in a car — smartphone integration, blind spot monitoring and the SYNC 3 infotainment system, but we really love the Flex’s Parking Assist feature. Leave your parallel parking worries behind and look super cool while the Flex scans the street for available parking spots. Once a spot is detected, the magical Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to the curb and other parked cars and you’re then signaled to stop and accept the system’s assistance. We love it!

2018 Subaru Crosstrek
The Subaru Crosstrek is the perfect choice for active moms who don’t want the big footprint of a large car. We love the understated cool styling of the Crosstrek, especially in the available Sunshine Orange exterior paint color. Whether you’re roadtripping, biking or headed to yoga class, the Crosstrek is a great companion. With seating for 5, the Crosstrek is rated as a Top Safety Pick, which earns obvious mom points, but with amenities like Apple CarPlay, Subaru’s Starlink and EyeSight technologies, the Crosstrek still feels like a splurge, starting at $21,795.

2018 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid
Don’t roll your eyes – the Pacifica ain’t your mama’s minivan. This one’s a plug-in hybrid, so she’s practical AND environmentally friendly. With sleek exterior styling and a serene interior cabin, this beauty breaks the minivan stigma. Some families need minivans — they have too many regular passengers to squeeze into anything else — and if you’re one of the families that can’t bypass a convenient sliding door, give the Pacifica a chance. You can breeze by the gas station for less frequent fueling thanks to its plug-in powertrain and you can lounge in complete comfort while you’re waiting for soccer practice to end (or even get work done, thanks to it’s available hotspot). The Pacifica plug-in hybrid also qualifies for a $7500 federal tax credit, too — cha-ching!
