There are several manufacturers that currently offer 100,00-mile powertrain warranties, even on their entry level vehicles, because it communicates that they’re willing to stand behind their design and build quality. Some of these new cars can be had for a song, which might be a nice change of pace if you’re tired of constantly calling for a tow. So, are you convinced it’s time to give up on your old beater? Hyundai's going to be showing up on this list a lot, because this manufacturer is one of the leaders of the pack when it comes to offering a consumer-friendly, confidence-inspiring warranty. Granted, the 2016 Hyundai Accent has come a long way from some of the Hyundai vehicles of decades past, and the brand's across-the-board five-year/60,000-mile basic limited warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty reflects that. The 2016 Accent seats five passengers and comes as both a sedan and a hatchback. Look at the sedan for a sub-$15,000 base MSRP, and turn to the Accent hatchback for sportier styling and better options. All 2016 Hyundai Accents come with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 137 horsepower.

The 2016 Kia Sedona is a minivan that can seat up to eight passengers when properly equipped. The Sedona was recently redesigned for the 2015 model year and carries over for this year without any notable changes. As a family-focused vehicle, the 2016 Kia Sedona offers a refined and comfortable interior, finished in high-quality materials that help absorb sound to provide a quiet and relaxing ride.

All 2016 Sedonas are powered by the same drivetrain, a 3.3-liter V-6 that comes paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, which provides the van with 276 horsepower. The 2016 Nissan LEAF is a fully electric compact car that provides seating for five, and is notable for being one of the most affordable electric vehicles on the market in the United States. It's also lauded as one of the best-selling electric cars in the world, which is a distinction well-earned.
