Callaway has been producing ultra-high-performance Corvettes for years, but with the Bowtie Brand radically raising the ol' bar with the all-new 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray, some may have wondered if the highly accomplished performance-engineering house would be able to keep up. Well, wonder no more: The 2014 Callaway AeroWagon is scheduled to go into production early next year with a sophisticated "shooting brake" body package that essentially transformsthe Stingray into a station wagon.

Don't get the wrong idea, however. This is no wacked-out woodie. Instead, Callaway turned to designer Paul Deutschman to create an elegant carbon-fiber body upgrade that maintains the car's aggressively sculpted lines—and its removable top—but also enables additional versatility with an openable hatch and additional room for gear. The Aerowagon package starts at $15,000 with the new carbon-fiber bodywork in its natural condition, but Callaway also can paint it body color for an additional $1,500, and the company further offers cargo-area enhancements like premium carpeting, leather side panels and a teak load floor with stainless-steel strips.

Of course, that's before purchasing the car itself. For that, you've two ways to go: You could start with a current production version of the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray, which would get you the most powerful entry-model of the Corvette ever released, thanks to a 6.2-liter V8 engine worth 455 hp. But you also can go the full Callaway and use one of the company's own hi-po versions, and that will net you about 610 hp and a top speed in excess of 200 mph, all while still "returning the highest mileage rating in the supercar segment."
