Cons: The front driver and passenger seat belts need to be relocated off the seats to the vehicle pilars
Advice: Purchase the Northstar V8
I was amazed at the features of this vehicle and how smoothly it handles. The AWD is excellent in this crossover and the comfort is excellent. This vehicle is always turning heads and I often catch people looking in the windows and admiring it. The braking is excellent and acceleration is amazing. A draw back is that replacing light bulbs on the car require taking the car apart to get the bulbs or paying the deal a good chunk of money to do it. The ride on the highway is whisper quiet and smooth. -

SRX needs a lot of improvements. I bought a 2004 SRX in October 2004 and the car has been towed into the dealership 3 times before Christmas for starting problems. The designers of the car could at little to no cost made the car much better. Getting in and out of car is hard to do with rubbing your pant leg on the rocker panel. The transmission is very jumpy. The glove box is unusable because it is too small and hidden under the dash. The centre console has 2 compartments but only one acess. To get at the lower level you must remove top level. The second and third row coat hooks need to be turned 90'. When you hit the mute button is blocks the display for the time. Third row seat belt is in the way when you try and use cargo cover. Second row seat does not lay flat and has large gap between it and the floor when it is in the down postion. -

Firm but hard ride Handles well Has been at the dealer more than in our garage. It has a terrible odor after stop and go driving . The smell will burn your eyes an cause nausea. Dealer doesn't know what's wrong with it nor does anyone else. Actually a danger to drive due to toxic fumes.A real lemon I would think twice before I purchased this vehicle. Very nice quality for a GM car. We got the V8 w/ no other options. Feels well equiped as is. Great power with the northstar but gas milage is 16 to 17 combined while driving 'nice' for 1st 500 miles. Difficult from wanting to step on it with performance thats there. -

Great power, handle's like a dream, very comfortable. Good looking, quality built. I have the 6 and it is very fast. The seats are very comfortable and supportive.
