Pros: touring suspension
Cons: Outside mirrors too high for my very short wife
Advice: Drive it, you'll like it
Good acceleration. Excellent seating comfort Excellent highway feel with the touring suspension.Pros: I love the power seats best of all. Never had power seats before.
Cons: The seats seem hard to set on.
Advice: Just drive it.
I was especially pleased with the quietness of this Buick. The handeling was excellent, very responsive. Surprisenly the 3800 engine is powerful and smooth.Pros: Steering wheel controls and driver's information center.
Cons: Position of the anchor points of both front seat belts.
Advice: Do not expect superior gas mileage. We average 23 mpg highway
I must say that this is the FIRST vehicle I've ever purchased that did not have to be returned to the dealer to adjust minor and/or major defects. We have a 1992 toyota Camry that when purchased new, had to be returned to the dealer at lease 6 times within the first 2 months to correct a recurring brake problem. The LeSabre now has 3000 miles on it and we have noticed nothing wrong! We will be taking it for an oil change in a couple of days and this is the first visit to any shop. The fit and trim quality is excellant. Much better that you would expect from and American car. We are very pleased with Buick in general. This is the second one in our driveway now.Pros: SEAT COMFORT
Cons: Quality and fit. Shifting is rough when changing speeds on hiway
Advice: Do not expect 29 miles per guallon on the road at hiway speeds
Car was very Comfortable to enter and exit. Seats are high and car is nice to drive, Steering is looser than I am used to so car wanders a little. Transmission is not the smoothest. Milage was at 21 on the hiway and less in town. Power was suffient but not outstanding. The interior fit was poor as cloth was coming loose because it was cut too short. Other trim did not line up good.Pros: The 3800 engine .. none better
Cons: ... can't think of anything ....
Advice: This is a proven car with the best V6 drivetrain made.
This was the car I was going to buy ... if I didn't buy the Rendezvous ... I test drove a few LeSabres .. very nice ride ... smooth ... quiet ... powerful... The 3800 engine I now is the closest thing you can get to a V8 ... I have two other 3800 engines in my driveway ...one is 11 years old and the other is 10 years old and the engines are original and running better than most new engines .. it is very smoothe quiet and powerfull ...and durable. The ride of the LeSabre is superior to the Rendezvous but I like sitting up high and the room of the Rendezvous ... .. I would recommend the LeSabre to anyone who wants a proven car that will last ... and not rust out like most foreign cars and is safe... ........ also ..... you will put a lot more Americans to work.
