Pros: The Car
Cons: Waiting to pick it up.
Advice: Buick quality with a definite feeling of quiet and safety. Buy one and ENJOY!
Though the LaCrosse CXL will not win in a high-speed Police chase on a curve-laden road, it contains all the attributes of Buick quality. After our test drive, we found the Power Plant and Drive Train to be far better than in most reviews we've seen and read. The Steering and Braking seem to be all that we will need to adjust to. Overall, we're VERY happy with our choice.Pros: Quiet
Cons: Cup holders
Advice: Buy it
I love the 2005 LaCrosse. Handles well, extremely comfortable, quiet ride. Cup holders could be improved, but that's the only hitch so far!Pros: Remote starter.
Cons: lack of navigation system
Advice: It's a great car at a great value
After owning BMWs for the past 12 years we decided to test drive a few American cars that scored well in reliablity surveys: Cadillac and Buick. The RWD on the Cadillac CTS was a turnoff because of winter weather. We prefer FWD. The LaCrosse was slightly quieter than the Cadillac, and the price was much less than the Mercedes and the BMW. It's a great car and for the money you get a lot.Pros: Heated seats and 6 CD player.
Cons: Steering
Advice: Take plenty of time driving, on Interstates and city.
Power Steering has Excessive Resistance. Transmission up shifts to soon, engine labors up hills. Very quiet on the road. Surprised at weight ratio of 63/37. Excellent road lighting.Pros: automatic engine start and dual heat/air system
Cons: hard to see backing up
Advice: GO FOR IT.....!!!
Owned a 96 Regal,,, loved it, then bought a Malibu... what a mistake. I love the quiet and smooth ride of the Lacrosse. I would love a bit better gas mileage and better cup holders, but overall, I cant complain.. Its a sweet, smooth and quiet car that is great for long and short distance travel.Pros: The ride and the quiet interior.
Cons: For the two driver option
Advice: Try them all
Comfort a little more stiff than the typical 'buick softness', gets more comfortable as you rack up the miles. Performance is more than adequate, especially for the gas mileage. A little sloppy cornering, but over all a plus. Quality seems to be typical Buick, but time will tell. Hard to determine with the foreign market, when new. Nice change from the Regal/Century style, with finally a little sport! Rate just under excellant.Pros: Leather Interior
Cons: am radio reception
Advice: Pick your color and your interior style. I chose the bucket seats with the shift on the floor, not the column. Looks very classy.
I love this car. I have been buying trucks and suv's for the past 6 years. My wife had a regal in high school and a riviera in college, so when I decided I wanted a car, I chose Buick. After test driving the LaCrosse, I was hooked. I bought the black on black with sunroof and cd changer. Amazing quiet and comfort, and plenty of storage for luggage and golf clubs. FANTASTIC! I highly recommend. Also, better mileage than former trucks or suv's.
