Pros: incredibly nice ride
Cons: temperature controls are too low and buttons are too close together
Advice: This is a great family car and not necessarily your 'dad's' car either.I keep hearing that American cars have gotten so much better the last few years. My last two cars were Hondas - reliability is paramount with me. But I really wanted to give the ole USA a try this time. My CXL competes very well with full size imports. I have to look really hard to find things I DON'T like about this car. But here it goes. The interior may be a little lack luster and plain and the temp controls are kind of low on the dash. You have to take your eyes off the road a little longer than you may be used to in order to find a comfortable temperature. I wish I had gotten the radio controls in the steering wheel for the same reason. The smooth ride and exterior styling makes up for these shortcomings. Its pretty decent on gas too. Averaging 26 mpg. Its also much larger on the inside than it would appear from the outside. The trunk is huge and the backseat is quite roomy too. If you're a younger person and are worried about getting an 'old person's' car than I suggest you get the exterior chrome package and polished chrome wheels like I did. The rear spoiler helps sport it up too. To sum up this is a great family car for a younger person entering into the luxury car market. I'm counting on it being as reliable as the Regal has been the past few years.
Pros: Size and handling.
Cons: I liked everything.
Advice: Go for it!Outstanding vehicle. Should be a big winner for Buick. Quality and performance unbeatable.
Pros: Remote start
Cons: Right now- can't think of a thing!
Advice: If you have a GM credit card, see if they will GIVE you FREE $$$ like they have done for many- up to $5,000!Picked up my CXS on 12/29/04. It has every GM factory option, as well as the dealer installed 'spoiler'. It's all black inside and out. VERY classy and regal looking with the optional chrome trim. The car is extremely quiet, comfortable and peppy. Gas mileage in the 20's so far with varying speeds for break-in in city/highway driving. All this on REGULAR gas for its 240 horses! Just about 500 miles on it so far as of 1/6/05. The XM satellite radio is awesome! The OnStar help and phone are great features! The back-up sensors in the back bumper are a great safety feature as are the side impact bags. The remote start has been great so far with the cold weather here in CT. I'm sure it will be just as nice in the summer! Go for it! Previous car- 2001 Acura CL-S.
Pros: The Handling, Looks and feels great!!!
Cons: Hm, none.
Advice: Buy the CXS modelMy first real road trip. My wife and I packed up the xmas presents to see the family on xmas day. I drove about five hundred miles that day. The car (LaCrosse CXS) performed excellent. The handling was beyond I expected at speeds of around 65 - 90 mph on the NJ parkway. I felt very much in control because the car handled all road conditions with ease. Before I purchased the LaCrosse I test drived a Camry and a Lexus. When I first test drived the LaCrosse I fell in love with it.
Pros: overall ride and handling
Cons: interior fake wood.
Advice: give the cxs a good test ridethis car is like an improved version of the gran prix.very solid feel with no rattles or sweeks.ride is very smooth and it handles very well for a front wheel drive.overall a very competitive car that could sell well against its competition.
