BMW Prices The 2015 i8

BMW has announced the pricing for their futuristic i8 performance plug-in hybrid. When it goes on sale, the i8 will carry a price tag of $135,700 (excluding a $925 destination charge). That price puts the i8 just under the most expensive BMW on sale, the 760Li sedan.

For that price, you're getting a lot of technology. The i8 utlizes a 1.5L turbocharged three-cylinder engine and a 96 kW electric motor that provides a total output of 362 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. 0-60 MPH takes under 4.5 seconds, and can return an impressive 94 MPG.

The i8 arrives at dealers next spring.
