Few things excite MissMotorMouth as much as some time on the track. Autobytel’s Editor-in-Chief Michelle Naranjo recently got a chance to hang out with a new 2015 SRT Viper. Dodge, Mopar, and SRT Motorsports teamed up for this event at the Streets of Long Beach, which is Michelle’s home circuit. After Michelle was strapped in and ready to go, the rest of the Autobytel team had to make sure there was some video to capture the occasion. For that, the bright orange Viper was equipped with an outside camera, mounted to the passenger side roof, to provide a sweeping view of the track as it made its way through the turns and accelerated through the straightaways. The camera also captured the Viper’s throaty growl as it accelerated and decelerated, thanks to the Viper’s naturally aspirated 8.4-liter V10 engine. This SRT Viper features 645 horsepower and a top speed of 206 MPH, so it’s certainly an exciting ride, especially with a pro driver at the wheel. It took just a couple minutes for the Viper to make the loop around Streets of Long Beach, and after it glided to a stop and the camera was removed, Michelle grinned as she was whisked off to enjoy another lap.
