After seeing a fair amount of success for its latest line of crossovers, Honda's lux division is looking for the 2015 Acura TLX to start building the same kind of momentum on the car side of the ledger. And to help kickstart the sport sedan's launch, expected this spring, Acura will showcase the new TLX during the Ben Folds 2014 LIVE Performances Tour. It's part of a recent sponsorship deal between Acura and the musician, with added assistance from the same folks who helped create the exclusive ELS Studio sound technology offered in the TLX and across the brand roster.

In some respects, the tour will mark a bit of a departure for Folds: Although he made his first impact on the music scene as the founder of indie-pop trio Ben Folds Five, this year's gigs will be billed as part of the Ben Folds Orchestra Experience and showcase his new piano concerto, past tunes with symphonic accompaniment, and solo performances. On the other hand, he'll still bring a deep commitment to providing his fans with superior sound.

According to Folds: "Being a singer-songwriter, audio purist and owner of a studio, I have always set the bar exceptionally high for sound, especially when it comes to live performances. Elliot Scheiner is one of the most phenomenal recording engineers in the history of recording music, and the ELS Studio Premium Audio system that Elliot has developed together with Panasonic for Acura captures an incredible studio-quality audio experience that drivers can experience in-car. I am honored to have Acura and ELS Studio's strong support of my LIVE Performance Tours this year."

More information about the tour can be found at www.BenFolds.com, and more information about the TLX can be found at your local Acura dealership. The short story? The 2015 Acura TLX is the next-gen successor to the Acura TSX and TL, and will feature relatively athletic design complemented by features like "JewelEye" LED headlights, engine choices with eight- and nine-speed automatic transmissions, the latest iteration of Acura's Performance All Wheel Steering and Super Handling All Wheel Drive systems, and the full gamut of connectivity and driver-assistance technologies.

The bottom line from Mike Accavitti, senior vice president, American Honda Motor: "As you would expect from an Acura, this completely new model will offer innovative technologies that break down the barriers between the driver and the machine to deliver a more intuitive, connected and personal driving experience."
