The 2018 Polaris Slingshot looks different from any other car you can buy. It starts with having only three wheels, which technically makes it an autocycle, rather than a car or motorcycle. All the power goes to the rear wheel while the front wheels oversee steering.
The Grand Touring version of the Slingshot is a new trim with a big change. Rather than having no roof at all, the Grand Touring has a roof with two removable panels. It adds to the dramatic look of the Slingshot and with the roof panels simply flipped up rather than removed it looks even more striking.
Power comes from a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. You might think a vehicle like this is massively expensive, but the Polaris Slingshot is surprisingly affordable. It starts at just $19,999 and the top Grand Touring Limited Edition maxes out at $29,999.
