2008 Audi TT - FrontTrak FrontTrak Coupe L

Pros: handling is great, but not in the rain

Cons: wipers shimmy, remote takes forever to lock/unlock, no center console

Advice: wait a few years and/or don't expect Audi to appropriately handle a declared lemon

I test drove this and bought it on a sunny day. In the rain, the wipers shimmy and the 2.0 slides on the road. They replaced the windshield, but it still happens; which makes it potentially unsafe. I wish I had gotten the quattro, but the 3.2 gets non-eco friendly mileage.

2008 Audi TT - FrontTrak FrontTrak Coupe L

Pros: The eagerly tuned engine and the handling

    Cons: Optional extras are costly

Advice: A car you would have little regrets to own and will not want to part with

A very fine piece of engineering, thanks to Audi continous innovation. I drive a 2006 new TT 2.0FSi with 6-gear manual transmission. The sonorous whisper of the engine is fulfilling the second when you turn the key. The engine is eager and inviting to rev, and always giving the driver the impression there is more juice installed. Handling is excellent, feels like an Evo-stick tightly glued to the road on sharp corners and roundarounds, leaving other cars utterly amazed and other drivers oozing respect. A great head-turner with the revamped design, constantly mistaken of a Porsche 911 from afar. Braking can be harsh for the unaware first-time tester, a bit of getting used to. Overall a joy to drive, and not uncomfortable as a everyday car. I will be grinning from ear to ear every seconds I take it for a drive.

2002 Audi TT - quattro Quattro Roadster

Pros: AutoTop, Heated Seats, overall Drive

Cons: BreakDust, glass wind deflector should come up to cover Roll bars, no HUD

Advice: Whether you look at this or something else, test drive everything b4 you decide. I didn't even think of this car as an option. Once I drove, it was the perfect car for me.

I've test drove all roadsters up to 75K and this is by far my favorite. I'm a big guy (6'2') and the cabin had the most room of all the cars I've driven. 2 weeks after I purchased the car, I was still finding new features. While other cars may be more appealing from the outside, none can match the interior of the Audi TT.

2003 Audi TT - FrontTrak FrontTrak Coupe

    Pros: Style

Cons: The pain on the Audi TT is EXTREMELY prone to scratches and chips!!! (this is a real problem)

Advice: Get the 3.2 L V6 (I'll trade for the 3.2L in a year or two)

I purchased my 180HP FWD Audi TT coupe in June of 2003. I never get tired or looking at the car and admiring its lines and style. The interior is awsome! First grade quality. The ride could be smoother and pick up (before the turbo kicks in) is definitely poor. Dealership service is the worst I've ever experience (they're nice and polite, but the quality of their work stinks). The car has had some unexpected little problems such as a defective sensor for the Tiptronic transmission that would make it not respond when switching from auto to Tiptronic, the glove compartment locked up and the handle broke for which the whole glove compartment was replaced, and one of the indicator lights on the front sides of the car came lose and had to be replaced.

    2002 Audi TT - L 225 HP (M6) quattro Quattro Coupe

Pros: The Quattro all wheel drive.

Cons: Some Turbo lag until you learn to launch properly.

Advice: Buy it. You'll never regret it!

I've driven a few sports cars before, but nothing has compared to my TT. I belong to several car clubs and often Autocross my Audi on local race tracks. I've brought home several trophy's to validate my enthusiastic appraisal. I am looking forward to test driving the new 3.2 with the DSG. I may have to trade up.
